Тема эксперимента:
«развитие лексических, грамматических и произносительных навыков с использованием пословиц и поговорок в процессе обучения английскому языку».
Актуальность исследования :
пословицы и поговорки начали использовать в процессе обучения иностранному языку очень давно (в средневековой Европе; с их помощью обучали латыни), и сейчас их использование на уроках английского языка в средней школе помогает учащимся овладеть не только аспектами языка, а именно, произношением, грамматикой, лексикой, но и важнейшим видом речевой деятельности, говорением.
Пословицы и поговорки - это благодатный материал для обучения тому, как одну и ту же мысль можно выразить разными словами. Они незаменимы в обучении монологической и диалогической речи, делая речь живой, красочной, поэтому выбранная тема представляется актуальной.
Объект исследования:
классные коллективы 9-11 классов
Основная цель исследования:
обеспечить совершенствование навыков правильного грамматического оформления речи, развитие её идиоматичности.
Задачи исследования:
1.проанализировать методическую и методологическую ценность использования пословиц и поговорок на уроках английского языка; 2.рассмотреть возможность их использование для обучения монологической и диалогической речи. 3. развития произносительных навыков.4.использование пословиц и поговорок при обучении грамматике.
Методы исследования:
наблюдение, метод экспертных оценок, сравнение, анализ.
Срок исследования:
2002-2007 учебный год.

Введение
Основным положением современной методики является максимальнаяадекватность условий, способствующих образованию коммуникативных навыков на уроках английского языка. Обучение языку с самого начала должно проходить в условиях реального общения или как можно точнее имитировать эти условия. Поэтому нельзя недооценивать огромную методическую и практическуюценность использования пословиц и поговорок в процессе обученияанглийскому языку в средней школе. Пословицы и поговорки – широко распространенный жанр устного народноготворчества. Неизвестно время возникновения пословиц и поговорок, нонеоспоримо одно: и пословицы, и поговорки возникли в отдаленной древности,с той поры сопутствуют народу на всем протяжении его истории. Заслуживаютвнимания те выразительные средства, с помощью которых достигается стойкостьили запоминаемость пословиц и поговорок. Одно из таких средств – это точная или ассонансная рифма:
Little strokes fell great oaks
A stitch in time saves nine.
Простая сбалансированная форма пословиц и поговорок является наиболее часто применяемым приемом, например:
More haste, less speed
Easy come, easy go.
Like
father

Краткость является существенным аспектом запоминаемых высказываний. Лишь очень немногие пословицы и поговорки многословны, большинство из них содержит не более пяти слов:
Boys will be boys.
Dead men tell no tales.
Better late than never.
Practice makes perfect.
II.1. Использование пословиц и поговорок для развития
произносительных навыков.
Пословицы и поговорки – это благодатный материал, используемый вобучении. Трудно отыскать курс английского языка, который обходился бы без их помощи. Известно, что еще в десятом столетии пословицы использовались в Англии как одно из средств обучения латыни. Пословицы и поговорки, как единое целое, охватывает большую частьчеловеческого опыта. Благодаря обобщенному характеру пословиц и поговорок,их можно использовать во всех классах, обучая искусству иносказания, именно иллюстрировать свою мысль и обобщать ее в краткой форме. Использование пословиц и поговорок в практике преподавателя английского языка, несомненно, будет способствовать лучшему овладению этим предметом, расширяя знания о языке, лексический запас и особенности его функционирования. С другой стороны их изучение представляет собой дополнительный источник страноведческих знаний. Формирование навыков произношения с первых уроков должно идти в условиях реального общения или как можно точнее имитировать эти условия. Другими словами, учащиеся должны не готовиться к речи, как предусмотрено устными вводными курсами, а начинать обучение сразу. Создать реальную обстановку на уроке, ввести элемент игры в процессовладения звуковой стороной иноязычной речи помогут пословицы и поговорки. Кроме того, пословицы и поговорки прочно ложатся в память. Их запоминание облегчается разными созвучиями, рифмами, ритмикой. Пословицы и поговорки могут использоваться при введении нового фонетического явления, при выполнении упражнений на закрепление нового фонетического материала и при его повторении, во время фонетических зарядок. Мой опыт показывает, что одним из эффективных приемов обеспеченияинтереса у детей к учению, их активность и работоспособность являетсяиспользование пословиц и поговорок на уроках английского языка на разных этапах обучения. На начальном этапе можно обращаться к пословицам и поговоркам дляобработки звуковой стороны речи. Они помогают поставить произношение отдельных трудных согласных, в особенности тех, которые отсутствуют в русском языке. Вместо отдельных слов и словосочетаний, содержащих тот или иной звук, можно предложить классу специально отобранные пословицы и поговорки. Затем в течение двух-трех уроков пословица или поговорка повторяется, корректируется произношение звука. Данный вид работы можно включить в урок на разных его этапах, он служит своеобразной разрядкой для учеников. Нужно подбирать пословицу или поговорку в зависимости от того, какойзвук отрабатывается. Например,

Пословицы и поговорки можно использовать не только на начальном этапе обучения английскому языку, когда у учеников формируются произносительные навыки, но и на среднем этапе обучения, когда их использование не только способствует поддержанию и совершенствованию произносительных навыков учащихся, но и стимулирует речевую деятельность. Очень часто на старших ступенях обучения увлечение накоплениемлексического запаса ведет к неправильностям в артикуляции звуков. Опыт показывает, что и в старших классах учащиеся с увлечением работают над произношением, повторяя звуки, если они представлены в пословицах и поговорках. Разучивание их не представляет трудностей, они запоминаются школьниками легко и быстро. Использование пословиц и поговорок тем более оправдано, т.к. здесьидеальным образом сочетаются совершенствование слухо-произносительных и ритмико-интонационных навыков. С одной стороны автоматизируются произносительные навыки, а с другой - учащиеся учатся делить предложения на синтагмы, определить логическое ударение и т.п. Поэтому использованиепословиц и поговорок в обучении произношению является крайне целесообразными эффективным.
II.2. Использование пословиц и поговорок для обучения
лексике.
Лексико-грамматическая насыщенность пословиц и поговорок позволяет использовать их не только при объяснении и активизации многих грамматических явлений, но и для обогащения лексического запаса. Пословицы и поговорки могут употребляться в упражнениях на развитие речи, в которых они используются в качестве стимула. Одну и ту же пословицу или поговорку можно интерпретировать по-разному. Поэтому, на основе данной пословицы или поговорки учащиеся учатся выражать свои собственные мысли, чувства, переживания, т.е. демонстрируют различные способы их размещения в речи. Поэтому, использование пословиц и поговорок на уроках английского языка развивает творческую инициативу учащихся через подготовленную и неподготовленную речь. Знание английских пословиц и поговорок обогащает словарный запасучащихся, помогает им усвоить образный строй языка, развивает память,приобщает к народной мудрости. В некоторых образных предложениях, содержащих законченную мысль, обычно легче запоминаются новые слова. Например, можно облегчить работу по запоминанию цифр, которая обычно вызывает трудность у обучаемого, призвав на помощь пословицы и поговорки, включающие в себя цифры:
A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush.
Two is company, three is none.
If two man ride on a horse, one must ride behind.
Rain before seven, fine before eleven.
A cat has nine lives.
Custom is a second nature.
Two heads are better than one.
Заучивание пословиц и поговорок не только развивает память учащегося,но и позволяет научиться адекватно, отбирать лексические единицы и развивает эмоциональную выразительность речи. Необходимость поисковых средств эквивалентного перевода выражений на родной язык развивает переводческие навыки и умения. К тому же, работа с пословицами и поговорками стимулирует интерес учащихся к работе со словарем.
II.3. Использование пословиц и поговорок при обучении
грамматике.
Пословицы и поговорки могут быть также использованы при обученииграмматике. Коммуникативная методика предполагает обучение грамматике нафункциональной и интерактивной основе. Это означает, что грамматические явления изучаются не как формы и структуры, а как средства выражения определенных мыслей, отношений, коммуникативных намерений. Сторонники прямых методов стоят на позиции имплицитного подхода к обучению грамматике, считая, что многократное повторение одних и тех же фраз в соответствующих ситуациях вырабатывает в конце концов способность не делать грамматических ошибок в речи. Поэтому, являясь с одной стороны средством выражения мысли, а с другой – реализуя изучаемые формы или конструкции в речи, пословицы и поговорки как нельзя лучше способствуют автоматизации и активизации данных грамматических форм и конструкций. Так, повелительное наклонение выполняет в общении побудительную функцию, и с его помощью можно выразить просьбу, совет, предложения, пожелания, разрешения,запрещения, предостережения, которые заключаются в пословицах. Например:
Dont burn your bridges behind you.
Dont throw out your dirty water before you get in fresh.
Newer say die.
Do as you would be done by.
Dont teach your grandmother to suck eggs.
Можно также использовать пословицы и поговорки при изучениинеправильных глаголов английского языка. Сюда можно отнести такиепословицы:
What is done cant be undone.
One link broken, the whole chain is broken.
If one claw is caught, the bird is lost.
I’ll gotten, ill spent.
Практика показывает, что процесс освоения степеней сравненияприлагательных не представляет сложности, если материал предлагается по возможности в виде пословиц и поговорок. Например:
Better late than never.
The best fish swim in the bottom.
The least said, the soonest mended.
Также можно использовать пословицы и поговорки при изучении модальных глаголов:
Never put off till tomorrow what you can do today.
When pigs can fly.
You cant eat your cake and have it;

Вряд ли можно построить обучение грамматике полностью на материале пословиц и поговорок, но представляется целесообразным их использование для иллюстрации грамматических явлений и закрепления их в речи.
Грамматическая часть экспериментальной работы представляет собой систему упражнений, при составлении которых были учтены возможности учащихся. Система грамматических упражнений охватывает важнейшие и наиболее трудные для усвоения основные категории и формы английского глагола, включающие: категория времени, категория залога, категория наклонения, модальные глаголы, неличные формы глагола. Перед выполнением упражнений по основным грамматическим темам учителю рекомендуется обратить внимание учеников на соответствующие разделы грамматики с целью предварительного ознакомления с соответствующими грамматическими правилами.

|

The harvest was very rich and they sold it in the market and got a good sum of money. So now they understood what treasure their father had left them.

|

|

A Brave Pilot
|
Jane lived with her parents in the Far North. But the little girl was ill. She could neither run or play. She could not eat. “There is just one thing that will help Jane,” said the doctor, “but I haven’t got the medicine. We must try to get it as soon as we can. I know what I can do.”

The doctor sent a telegram to a doctor in a far-away city. The doctor in the far-away city got the medicine and went to the airport. He told the captain about the sick girl in the Far North, and the captain told his men about her. The weather was very bad, but one of the pilots said at once, “Give the medicine to me. I shall take it to her.” He took the medicine and got into his airplane. In a few minutes he was off and a telegram was sent to the doctor in the Far North.

The brave pilot flew on and on all day through the snow and the wind. He flew on and on all night. He did not see any houses, any lights.
He saw nothing but snow everywhere.

Jane’s father and many other people got up very early that day.
They were all waiting for the airplane.

Suddenly they saw it far away in the sky. “There it comes!” cried Jane’s father. Soon it landed on the snow. Jane’s father run up to it. The pilot gave him the medicine.

The brave pilot was cold and tired. But he was happy. He knew that now the girl was safe. Jane’s parents invited him into their warm house and gave him a good breakfast. He had a short sleep and then flew back to the far-away city.

Накопленный мной опыт преподавания английского языка показывает, что эффективность усвоения конкретного материала далеко не в последней степени обусловливается и характером иллюстрированного материала, его содержательностью, запоминаемостью. Таким материалом, как показала практика, во многих случаях могут оказаться английские пословицы и поговорки. Предложенные разработки заданий предназначены как для работы в парах, так и для групповой работы. Упражнения носят тренировочный и коммуникативный характер. Дополняя традиционные задания, они содействуют более легкому и сознательному усвоению языковых образцов, грамматических структур и лексических единиц с последующим их использованием в общении.
